Yoga Bears continues on from Baby Yoga, once babies have become crawlers or walkers. These classes involve lots of fun, action, songs, rhymes and yoga and promote a positive atmosphere where mums and babies can exercise together. Yoga for mums is taught through instruction and sometimes with rhymes and songs so that your child enjoys your yoga practice too, joining in and copying your movements. There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy yoga together, in partner yoga. Your little one will soon become familiar with the songs, rhymes and actions and will be keen to join in. If your little one prefers to do their own movements and actions, then that is fine too. The room is clean and safe and the class is designed to give your child lots of fun and stimulation.

There are many benefits to practising yoga with your toddler. Yoga helps to strengthen toddler's bodies, developing their sense of co-ordination, balance and spacial awareness. These sessions also encourage pre-verbal and verbal communication and enhance physical confidence.

There are many benefits for Mum. Yoga helps to release tension, bring tone and strength to the body as well as a feeling of general well being. The yoga exercises will focus on increasing the strength and tone of the back muscles, the pelvic floor and abdomen, as well as all other areas of the body. Classes are suitable for pregnant women. There is opportunity to practise yoga on your own but also with your child. A great opportunity to have fun together and both benefit from exercise. Each session will include a chance for you to relax with quiet time snacks and story for your toddler.  At the end of each class, you will feel more energised, toned and relaxed. A great start to a Monday and your week!

There is a changing area available. There will be refreshments after the relaxation. You may like to bring a yoga mat, if you have one, though I have spare mats. Places are limited so pre-booking is essential. Places are guaranteed on receipt of payment so early booking is advisable.
